Miyota 9015 Operation Manual
Here's a step-by-step tutorial on how to operate a watch with a Miyota 9015 movement:
1. Unscrew the Crown: Unscrew the screw-down crown by turning it counterclockwise until it pops out.
Setting the time:
2. Pull the Crown to the Second Position: Gently pull the crown out to the second position. You should feel a distinct click when it's in this position. This allows you to adjust the time.
3. Rotate the Crown: Turn the crown clockwise to advance the hour and minute hands to the correct time. Be mindful of whether the time is AM or PM.
4. Push the Crown In: Once the correct time is set, push the crown back into its original position. Screw down the crown by turning it clockwise.
Setting the date:
2. Pull the Crown to the First Position: Gently pull the crown out to the first position. This is the middle position, and it allows you to set the date.
3. Rotate the Crown: Turn the crown clockwise to advance the date to the correct day.
4. Push the Crown In: After setting the date, push the crown back into its original position.
Winding the watch:
2. Rotate the Crown: Rotate the crown clockwise in its normal position to wind the watch. The Miyota 9015 has an automatic movement, so your wrist motion can also power it. However, if the watch has not been worn for some time, manual winding may be necessary.
3. Screw the Crown Back In: If your watch has a screw-down crown, screw it back in by turning it clockwise.
Additional Tips:
1. Power Reserve: The Miyota 9015 has a power reserve of about 42 hours. This means it can run for approximately 42 hours without additional winding or motion. If your watch stops, winding it manually or wearing it for some time should restart it.
2. Avoid Date Changes from 9 PM to 3 AM: To prevent damage to the movement, avoid changing the date between 9 PM and 3 AM when the date-change mechanism is engaged.
